Form, content and process become tools in the mediative search for essence. - James Watts
I consider my paintings to be a form of meditation. I work for a unity in color, paint, line, and field until the paintings seem to exist and speak to the viewer as self-generated objects. Painting for me must be an act of absolute freedom, or why do it at all? Where else can one reach a place where one cannot go any further, and it becomes a place of beginnings.
