Avery Knox is a self taught "Digital Artist," who developed his style from an interest in photography. The work starts as photography which is then scanned into a computer for enhancement and manipulation with Adobe Software's popular "Photoshop" software. The finished works are printed as very high quality IRIS prints, in small limited editions.
Mr Knox has a B.A. in Art History from Yale University, and exhibited his first works in 1995 in group shows at various Soho galleries. His works have been featured annually in group shows since 1995 and a recent work appears in the l999 Calendar of the Very Special Arts Gallery of Washington, D.C. He is a member of "Art Group" of Manhattan and has been a member of the Ward-Nasse Gallery since 1995.
His art has been featured in technology art shows at the following Soho Galleries: Pulse Gallery (1995); Gang Gallery (1995); 479 Gallery (1996); Leslie-Lohman Gallery (1998); and at the Art Center of Northern N.J.(1997). Mr Knox lives and works in New York City. His works are very colorful and show the influence of other Pop and Op artists.
