Hisayo Foster

I specialize in watercolor paintings of flowers, portraits, and abstract designs. My unique style is at the same time detailed and romantic. I mostly use gansai Japanese watercolors.

Born and raised on a flower farm in northern Japan, I also was inspired to paint flowers by the many bouquets fans gave me in my other career as a jazz vocalist.

Recently, I have also been working in ceramics.
