"Life fascinates me. Since my childhood I have drawn and painted figures, landscapes and still lifes. As an avid fan of realism, I first studied the great masters, before seeking my own interpretation which often means pushing the color to express my inner vitality and optimism. Moving to Brazil impacted my art because tropical light changes colors. Greens are greener, reds are redder. Brazil, my home for over 20 years, continues to enchant me and most of my subject matter comes from this exotic, festive, mysterious country. Let me take you there." - Marilyn Diggs
