Deborah Claxton

The Cut-Paper Series are a culmination of my history as an artist. My prior work in sculpture, textiles, photography, and drawing all came together in 1995, when I invented my unique approach to medium. I design, cut, and assemble shapes from a pallette of solid colored papers, working more as a painter than as a collagist.

The cut-paper images are then produced as a limited edition giclee prints, in my own studio.

The cut-paper prints have won 5 bronze awards in international competition They have also been in solo and group exhibitions, and are part of numerous private collections.
