I am a self-taught New York City artist working in cut paper collage. Unlike Dada collage, which openly reflected the destruction of the world at the time, my approach is to provide a smooth, colorful, harmonious, painterly surface within which disaster and choas are represented by treacherous perspectives, peculiar angles, and juxtapositions. I use images of textiles, building materials, architecture, and fashion and design materials to build this dual world.
