New Paintings by Max Weinberg & Costa Bernstein

Max Weinberg was born in 1928 in Kassel, Germany. Faced with the impending outbreak of the Second World War his family flew from the Nazi-reign of terror and tyranny to Tel Aviv where he grew up. Obsessed by painting since his very childhood, he studied at the Academy of Arts and Culture in Tel Aviv.
For over 40 years now, he lives and works in Frankfurt am Main, a city with an over a thousand years old Jewish tradition. His most recent exhibitions include: Artists for children's rights, Frankfurt A.M. in 2004

Costa Bernstein was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, on 5 August 1973, immigrated to Israel in August 1992. Between 2000-2002 he worked with seriously injured, disabled and handicapped persons after terror accidences at hospital 'Levistein', Raanana, Israel
Since 2002 he lives in Fankfurt am Main, Germany, where he works on independent art projects and on book illustrations. In the opinion of the art historian Esther Stein in his collages Costa Bernstein 'transforms habitual situations into a new and extraordinary experience that invites us to wonder, join in and celebrate.'
