August 20th 2005 - August 27th, 2005
Opening Reception:
Sunday August 21, 2005

Ward-Nasse gallery is pleased to announce the second one-person show of Gabriele Perici to be held at the gallery from August 21 to August 27th, 2005.

The exhibition will include new works reflecting surreal and symbolic images and their celebration of love, sensuality and the subconscious as a source of creativity. Perici's painting style has some similarities to Amedeo Modiglian's: the female figures are characterized by the elongation of the neck, the oval shape of the head, and the graceful lines of the body. As the artist says, even tough he has studied different painting styles, he was not influenced by a certain artist or movement and he only thrusts his own instincts.

The Italian born artist has been living and exhibiting in Italy, Brazil, France, as well as in the United States - New Orleans, Miami Beach and New York. His paintings are included in many private collections.

This exhibition is located at the Ward-Nasse Gallery 178 Prince Street New York NY 10012
Hours: Tuesday through Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (1 pm on Sun)
